This graph represents the baseline knowledge that all 3 classes of 6th grade science had before the Astronomy Unit was taught. 

They took the same test again to create the chart below.

This graph shows the growth in all classes after the astronomy unit was taught.  ALL classes showed significant growth, including the class with a high percentage of students with specialized learning needs.  These students often struggle with concepts and knowledge retention, but their results show that this combination of outdoor and indoor instruction fit their learning styles.
